The goddess is shown standing in a calm and composed pose. She wears a long garment (chiton), over which parts of the goat-skin (aegis) can be seen at chest level, draped over her shoulders. Her arms fall along her sides, conveying an attitude of serenity and dignity.
In this image of Athena, the absence of her customary weapons—the shield and spear—emphasizes the reflective and wise nature of the goddess, highlighting her protective and rational dimension, a symbol of controlled strength and strategic intelligence. With these characteristics, she was worshipped in a domestic shrine (lararium) within a house at Copiae, from which, in addition to this statuette, five other bronze figurines were recovered.
